About This Tour
This is the definitive private 2-day Battle of the Bulge tour from Paris for American families and history enthusiasts. Covering the full arc of the German Ardennes Offensive (December 1944–January 1945), you will visit the key battlefields where the 101st Airborne Division made its legendary stand at Bastogne, explore the Maginot Line fortifications, and pay your respects at the American Cemetery in Luxembourg where General George S. Patton Jr. and thousands of other brave soldiers rest in peace.

6:30 am
Departure from Paris Direct pickup from your hotel or accommodation anywhere in Paris. Coffee and croissants stop on the way.
Maginot Line
Fort de la Ferté or Fort Fermont Explore one of the largest fortifications of the French defense system. Fort de la Ferté was attacked by the Germans in 1940; Fort Fermont is one of the largest artillery positions. Learn how this "impenetrable" line was bypassed by the German blitzkrieg.
US Cemetery Luxembourg
American Cemetery — General Patton's Grave Pay your respects at this solemn cemetery where General George S. Patton Jr. and thousands of American casualties of the Battle of the Bulge rest. A deeply moving experience.

Afternoon
Luxembourg City Sightseeing Explore the picturesque capital. Stops include Villa Pauly (former Gestapo headquarters), Hollerich Memorial of Deportation, the charming old town, Citadelle, Cathedral, and other historic sites.

Clervaux Begin your second day in this picturesque town where the Battle of the Bulge began. Understand the initial German advance and the desperate American defense.
Saint Vith
Fierce Tank Battles Visit the site of intense armored combat. Your guide will explain the tactical situation and the brave American resistance.
Malmedy
Malmedy Massacre Site Learn about the tragic massacre of American prisoners of war and its impact on the battle and the soldiers' morale.
Houffalize
Martyr Town of the Ardennes Almost completely destroyed during the offensive, this town symbolizes the devastation of the Ardennes campaign. See a German Panther tank preserved in the town.
Foy
Easy Company's Defensive Position The village from which the Germans continuously attacked Easy Company positions. Stand where the "Band of Brothers" held the line.
Jack Woods
Easy Company Foxholes — "Band of Brothers" Walk through the forest where the Easy Company 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne Division defended Bastogne. Original foxholes are still visible. A powerful, immersive experience.
Bizory Chapel
Provisional Aid Station This chapel was converted into a medical aid station during the battle. Reflect on the human suffering and sacrifice.
Mardasson Monument & Museum
Memorial & Museum Visit Visit depending on time availability. The museum provides excellent context and artifacts from the battle.
Bastogne
Town Sightseeing Explore the town that became a symbol of American resistance. See the Sherman tank monument and the monument to General McAuliffe (famous for his "Nuts!" reply to German surrender demands).

Return to Paris Direct drop-off at your Paris accommodation or airport. Arrival approximately 7:30–8:00 pm depending on traffic. Refreshment stop on the way back.

Practical Information
What to Wear
Good walking shoes and a wind/waterproof jacket are essential. You will be walking through forests, cemeteries, and over uneven terrain. In winter months, bring extra layers — the van has plenty of space for a bag.
Weather
We operate in all weather conditions. The Ardennes region can be cold and wet, especially in winter. If the forecast is severe, we can suggest an alternative date where possible. Do not schedule this as your last tour — keep flexibility for weather changes.
Drive Time
Approximately 3–3.5 hours each way from Paris. Your guide stops for coffee & croissants on the way out, and a refreshment break on the way back. Day two involves more local driving between sites.

You will stay overnight in Luxembourg on Day One. We provide hotel suggestions and can help with booking. The guide's accommodation, breakfast, and dinner are included in the tour price.
