Patton, numerous stops around the "Battle of the Bulge" area, the famous city Bastogne and many other battle sites of WW1 & WW2. 

This tour can be combined or battle sites can be exchanged with various religious or historical sites.

PROPOSED ITINERARY DAY ONE

WW1 SITES, VERDUN BATTLEFIELDS, MILITARY FORTRESSES, MONUMENTS & CEMETERIES

7:00am depart Direct pick up from your accommodation in Paris
Fort Fermont Fort Fermont is one of the largest artillery position. Interiour and exteriour visit of the entire complex. The visit including a video takes +/- two hours
Lunch Traditional local restaurant of sandwiches in the car (can decide on the day)
Fort Douamont (Verdun)
The mightiest of the forts surrounding Verdun. Vesit of the fort, exposition of photographs & movie. Barracks room, 155mm gun turret and more
Douamont ossuary The ossuary contains the remains of 130.000 soldiers !

The "Red Zone" and the destroyed villages Nine villages in the "Red Zone" were razed to the ground. Some positions of the houses and public buildings remain till today, but were never rebuilt - They became ghost villages that "Died for France" during the great war

MAGINOT LINE FORTESS, BASTOGNE BATTLEFIELDS, 101ST AIRBORNE - "SCREAMING EAGLES" SITES

Bastogne square Various stops at the sites continuing the difficult progress of US Army through the Normandy countryside
Jack Woods At the city St Lo, which known also as the "City of Martyrs" you will be still able to sightsee some damage done to this town by the massive Allied bombardment
Foy Learn about the epic stand of the US 30st Div that hold off German SS Div for almost a week
Bizory Chapel Lunch in the car - stop for fresh sandwiches
Mardansson Memorial Learn about the Falaise gap and about the destruction that hapened there
Bastogne museum Area where the German army got encircled by the Allies. Visitor center, movie and museum dedicated to the Falaise gap battles
Ouvrage de la Ferte Visit and explore two massive combat blocks (bunkers) linked with underground tunnel accompanied by your guide. Ouvrage de la Ferte is the most northern part of the French Maginot line. It was exactly here where German army stormed into France in 1940 at attacked this fotified position. Interiour & exteriour visit of the entire complex + a video introduction.
  Important information for participants !
"To proceed from one fortified position to the second, every participant has to take a 90 feet staircase down, than walk a 300 yard long narrow corridor and another 90 feet staircase up (there is no lift). There will be atleast one-two breaks while taking the staircase up, but it is still a physically demanding experience. The visit is also not recomended to someone who is claustrophobic due to the close up space"
