Private day tour to Fontainebleau Chateau from Paris
Fontainebleau palace is one the larges chateaux which accommodated the French monarchs from 1137 untill 1870. It is also the place where Catherine de Medici gave birth to six of her children. But most important; it was the preferred residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and such as one it escaped the extent looting during the French Revolution. Today, visiting the Fontainebleau Palace rest a feast for the eyes. It will take your breath away with its majestic galleries, bedrooms, artworks, gardens and museum dedicated to the life of Napoleon Bonaparte.
The day tour starts at 8am but the time fo the departure can be modified. Direct pick up at your centrally located Paris hotel, B&B or other accommodation. You will be traveling in a luxury, air-conditioned, very spacious eight seater van and accompanied by driver / guide throughout the whole day. Your guide will entertain you with the stories about Fontainebleau castle, the history of the region and with many anecdotes of today's France. The tour is private and therefore you will not share it with other guests. This makes the tour more personal and flexible.
Time and place for lunch in the town Fontainebleau will be fixed upon booking from the selection of our restaurants.
Arrival back to Paris +/- 4pm
The tour can be extended including a visit of Chateau Vaux le Vicomte which became the model for Versailles Palace. Today the chateau is a private property known to house the wedding of Eva Longoria and Tony Parker.
