Having a spare two day's while visiting Paris? Then you should not miss our private tour to the town Bastogne and its area, known during the Battle of Bulge as "The Bastion of the Battered Bastards of the 101st Airborn". As well as a visit to the city of Luxembourg city and Maginot Line fortress.

Proposed itinerary for Bastogne and Luxembourg tour:

Pick up by your private driver/guide at your hotel in/around Paris at 6:30 am. You will be traveling in a luxury, air-conditioned, very spacious eight seater van and accompanied by driver / guide throughout the whole day. Your guide will entertain you with the stories of WW2, the history of the region and with many anecdotes of today's France. The tour is completely private and once booked, you will not share it with other guests. This makes the tour more personal and flexible.

The single day tour itinerary to Bastogne is proposed as below, but can be changed depending on your interrest:

  • Bastogne Barracks (Museum, once a base of the 101st Airborne, and the 10th Armored Division. The museum holds a great collection of military vehicles of both Allied and German Army)
  • Stop at Bastogne Square (Monument of Gen. McAuliffe and Sherman tank Barracuda)
  • Lunch in a traditional Belgian restaurant, where the veterans of the 101st division still reunite!
  • One of the most important stops will be in the "Jacks Woods" where the 101st "Easy Company" (Band of Brothers) hold off the German counterattacks. The foxholes are still visible all around the forest.
    The visit and walk through the forest will take over an hour. Depending on your interrest your guide will explaine you the detailed sequence of the battles and the individual stories of the men that suffered there in the coldest winter in Europe on record.
  • Visit and sightseeing in the town Foy (the town seen some of the most heaviest fights)
  • Stop at the German War Cemetery (optional)
  • Stop at the Bizory Chapell (chapell turned into provisional medic station)
  • Mandarsson Memorial (honoring the memory of American soldiers wounded or killed during the "Battle of Bulge".
  • Bastogne War Museum (one of the best WW2 museums focusing on the Battle of Bulge and the siege of Bastogne)
