PRIVATE TRIP

We are a company for private trips that accompanies clients who purchase our packages. We offer personal assistance in the case of a need such as a medical problem. We do not provide child care or other services not listed in the description on our website.

PLANNING PROCEDURE / SELECTING A TRIP

Following a client’s request by email, Private Trip will send a detailed summary of  destinations, visits, and activities as well the cost of our services.

RESERVATIONS DEPOSIT

A 50% deposit of the price of the trip is required upon booking. This is done via bank transfer. The bank account details of Private Trip will be provided via invoice.
The balance is to be paid in full on the day of the tour.
Cash or credit card is accepted (VISA, Mastercard...)
Payment with American Express is a subject of additional charge of 4% of the price.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION CHARGES

All payments are to be made in Euros. Payment with different currencies will be subject to the exchange rate. 

Please note:
Cancellations of any bookings  must be made in writing so as to avoid any misunderstanding.
By refunding the deposit the bank charges will apply.
Any pre-engagements, such as hotels for guide, made by Private Trip prior to the tour and which will be non-refundable / or cannot be moved to another date will be deducted from the deposit.
Cancellation fees:
More than 31days (one month) prior to the departure of the trip - refund of the deposit
Less than 31days (one month) prior to the departure of the trip - deposit non-refundable

AMENDMENT TO BOOKINGS (request by guest)

For any changes in the departure date, cancellation charges apply as spelt out under the section on "Payment & Cancellation Charges". We have the right to refuse any new departure date selected by the customer, however, depending on availability, another date may be provided.

YOUNG TRAVELLERS

Young travellers who are under 18 years old on the date of departure must be accompanied by an adult for the full duration of the trip.

INSURANCE

All customers purchasing and travelling with Private Trip packages are insured only while being transported in the vehicle provided by us. No other insurance is included.
Additional insurance should be purchased by the client.

HAZARDS

Various hazards such as: slippery surface, low sezaling, low light, steep stairs, strong winds and other hazards may occure wile on tour.
Private Trip takes no responsibility in a case of any accident that might occur on the trip and therefore it is everybody's own responsibility to take caution at all times while on the tour.
Private Trip highly recomments to every guest to verify his own international travel insurace before leaving his home country.

ACCOMMODATION & DINING

Accommodation and dinning is not included in price of our packages and therefore is at the guest’s expense. We will however book the restaurants and hotels that are selected as a convenience to our clients.

EUROPEAN CLIMATE & FOUR SEASON WEATHER

Private Trip is not responsible for weather conditions on the day of the tour. Weather conditions vary greatly depending on the season.

SPECIAL REQUEST

If there are any requests regarding special meals, dietary requirements, adjoining rooms and so on, please inform us when booking. Such requests are subject to confirmation, prices and availability as well as third party requirements.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that his/her international passport has a validity of at least 7 months prior to the date of departure and has at least four blank pages side by side. Certain visas may be required. Cancellation charges apply for any cancellation due to problems with any of the above mentioned requirements.

COMPLAINTS/CLAIMS

Any complaint/claim must be made in writing within two weeks after services have been rendered. No responsibility is accepted in respect to any complaint/claim not made in that manner.

PARTICIPATION

For the benefit of everyone on your trip, we reserve the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant and to remove him or her from the tour if  we decide that the participant’s behavior is inappropriate . We will not refund nor cover any costs or expenses you incur if we have to terminate your tour arrangements due to unacceptable behaviour.

SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed on transportation  provided by Private Trip. Many hotels in France and Europe have imposed a 100% non-smoking policy and many cities have imposed non-smoking regulations in public spaces. As a standard rule, we only confirms non-smoking hotel rooms.
If you require a smoking room a request may be submitted, but we cannot guarantee the availability.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

During local or national public holidays, certain facilities such as museums, restaurants, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited or not available. We are not responsible for closures for any reason. Alternatives will be offered whenever possible.

EFFECTIVE DATE AND CHANGES

All of the above-mentioned policies are effective as of March 20, 2013. Pivate Trip reserves the right to modify the terms of this policy at any time and at our sole discretion, by posting a change notice to this page. Your continued use of the site following our posting of a change notice will constitute binding acceptance of those changes.
